SBTC Appoints Cybernet's Jacobus As Co-Chair
Cybernet Systems Corporation CEO & Chairman, Heidi Jacobus, was recently appointed as Co-Chair for the Small Business Technology Council (SBTC), a high-tech arm of the National Small Business Association (NSBA).

Jacobus, who was one of the founding members of SBTC, will share the position with Co-Chair Robert Schmidt, CEO of CleveMed in Cleveland, Ohio, and will be formally elected in March at the NSBA's annual meeting.

"This is a wonderful honor, and a great opportunity to continue my work on behalf of small businesses," said Jacobus.  "Until I joined SBTC, I never realized such a large network of company CEOs existed throughout the country willing to help and advise me whenever I had a problem or situation unique to my firm. "

The SBTC is a non-partisan, non-profit industry association of companies dedicated to promoting the creation and growth of research intensive, technology-based U.S. small business.

With a focus on educational activities which include conferences and seminars on government procurement and other education activities for small business, government officials and officials of large companies, SBTC encourages the exchange of ideas and information on improving the transitioning of research and development (R&D) and technology into the commercial marketplace.

"The type of outside support and networking opportunities provided to members of the Association is invaluable for small businesses," said Jacobus.  "We're a heavily volunteer-driven organization, and I'm looking forward to helping other business  leaders through my involvement in SBTC just as previous leaders helped me and my business."

Cybernet Selected By NAWCTSD to Conduct Implementation and Testing of IA Controls
Cybernet Systems Corporation's Cyber Security Division, in Orlando, Fla., was selected on Jan. 10 by the Naval Air Warfare Center Training Systems Division (NAWCTSD) to conduct implementation and testing of the Information Assurance (IA) controls for a MAC III Classified system at the Littoral Combat Ship Training Facility (LTF) in San Diego, CA.  The system supports the Littoral Combat Ship (LCS) 1 Shore-Based Trainer (SBT), LCS-2 SBT, the Common Mission Package Trainers (CMPTs) 1, CMPT 2, and the Electronic Support Measures (ESM) Part Task Trainer (PTT).

As part of its efforts to enable NAWCTSD to group the five separate trainers into three accreditation boundaries, Cybernet will provide its Centralized Information Assurance Management System (CIAMS) to handle the required enterprise grade centralized activities to include backup and recovery, patch management, auditing, user roles and responsibilities administration, as well as security compliance scanning.

"Cybernet is proud to have another great opportunity to show how our CIAMS product provides a one stop location for configuration management while reducing IA maintenance costs by up to 40 percent," said Ron Harper, Cybernet's Vice President for Cyber Security and Training Systems.
